ACERCA DE MI OBRA / ABOUT MY WORK

    En el lugar donde uno nace y habita, influye claramente en su carácter, moldea y modela a las personas, influyendo la naturaleza y paisajes, la riqueza patrimonial del entorno, la luz característica del lugar, en donde sus formas quedan definidas por esa luz, en el impresionante patrimonio que observa y siente; las formas construidas por el ser humano son el espejo del alma y su tiempo.

En Andalucía he encontrado todo ello, en su patrimonio natural y cultural, crisol de culturas milenarias, desde la Prehistoria con sus monumentos megalíticos, pasando por Al-Ándalus y más recientemente la contemporaneidad reflejadas en sus ciudades y habitantes. 

Las personas que te encuentras en el camino, son fundamentales en tu educación, te enseñan y aprendes de ellos y ellas, no olvidando, que también he valorado y aprehendido lo que me dictaban mis sentimientos y el corazón. 

Todo este fluir de experiencias, emana una forma de ser, de saber observar y elegir en lo que uno cree, y de fusionar tanto lo tradicional con lo contemporáneo, fuera de toda idea, concepto o forma plástica y visual, que recuerden y representen temas anecdóticos, últimas tendencias de moda emergentes, o de un folclore posmoderno, rechazando todo lo relacionado con el marketing, muy habituales en el arte de hoy.

Intento de plasmar en un fluir de mis experiencias, dudas que me surgen e ideas, que, reflejo a través de las artes plásticas y visuales, que a mi parecer, es quizás, uno de los máximos exponentes del acervo cultural y tradicional de un pueblo, en donde se manifiesta su trascendencia social, cultural y temporal, como lo haría una composición musical o un texto poético. 

Mi obra, parte de unos principios geométricos y constructivistas, una obra que se desarrolla a partir de la investigación y experimentación de la realidad visible e invisible, conceptos como las formas, el espacio, la luz y el color...y su disposición en un espacio concreto.

Observo y percibo lo que me rodea con una actitud de curiosidad y afecto, me interesa el valor cultural que realiza el ser humano, mi admiración por Picasso, P. Klee, N. Gabo y A. Pevsner, A. Rodchenko, H. Moore, Richard Serra, Oteiza, Chillida, el grupo Equipo 57 o arquitectos como Gropius, Le Corbusier, G. Rietveld, R. Moneo o Frank Gerhy, ellos me han hecho ver el arte y las formas desde otro punto de vista, un punto de vista poliédrico.

Las cosas se pueden realizar y percibir de otra forma, los condicionantes naturales, formales y espaciales, todo ello lo plasmo en mi obra a través de un lenguaje universal, como es el arte y la geometría.

En busca de la "reducción" decía en sus escritos el pintor Paul Klee y en sus propias palabras, que el artista: "quiere decir más que la naturaleza y comete el imposible error, de querer decirlo con más en vez de con menos".

La admiración que siento por el mundo y la naturaleza que me rodea es asombroso, las formas, el espacio, el aire, la luz, el color, todo ello me ayudan a analizarlo, estudiarlo y a canalizarlo de una forma natural, sintiendo una admiración extraordinario y reflejándolo en mi obra, que algunas veces titulo: Nacimiento, Abertura, Red Geométrica, Construcción, 

Habitación de la Luz, Arco del Aire, Alandaluz, Encuentro, Escultura Blanca, Tierra-Cielo, Composición, Deconstrucción, Relieve Matriz, Ascendente V.

En el momento de crear una obra, intento de ser libre y no condicionarme desde los primeros momentos, me interesa cuestiones en la obra que realizo, como es el conocerse a uno mismo y a mi entorno a través de las formas plásticas y visuales.

Dejo fluir mis sentimientos de una forma libre y lo que plasmo lo realizo en diferentes técnicas y materiales, normalmente a la hora de trabajar, mi pensamiento presiento que lo hace de una manera tridimensional, me imagino y veo en un primer momento las ideas y las formas como en un espacio tridimensional.

Luego necesito de diferentes materiales en algunos casos, muy duros, blandos o fluidos que me sirven para poder modelar, tallar, dibujar, pintar y fotografiar aquello que necesito expresar, algunas veces al azar.

El artista, creo que la mayor de las veces, vive, siente y plasma su obra infinidad de veces al borde del abismo, algo que no tenía planificado, ni estudiado a priori, sale y fluye de una manera natural y lo plasma en su obra.

El artista lo que realiza es arte, ARTE con mayúsculas que se relaciona con la vida, libertad, sentimientos y la naturaleza, relacionado con la música y la poesía, con ese paradigma ese borde en el precipicio, que algunos artistas poseen y presienten formas, imágenes, palabras, sonidos, colores que consiguen reducirlas y llevarlas a la forma física.

In Andalusia I have found all this, in its natural and cultural heritage, a melting pot of ancient cultures, from Prehistory with its megalithic monuments, passing through Al-Andalus and more recently the contemporaneity reflected in its cities and inhabitants.

The people you meet along the way are fundamental in your education, they teach you and you learn from them, not forgetting that I have also valued and apprehended what my feelings and heart dictated to me.

All this flow of experiences emanates a way of being, of knowing how to observe and choose what one believes, and of fusing both the traditional with the contemporary, outside of any idea, concept or plastic and visual form, that remember and represent themes. anecdotes, latest emerging fashion trends, or postmodern folklore, rejecting everything related to marketing, very common in today's art.

Attempt to capture in a flow of my experiences, doubts that arise and ideas, which, reflected through the plastic and visual arts, which in my opinion, is perhaps one of the greatest exponents of the cultural and traditional heritage of a people , where its social, cultural and temporal significance is manifested, as would a musical composition or a poetic text.

My work is based on geometric and constructivist principles, a work that is developed from research and experimentation of visible and invisible reality, concepts such as shapes, space, light and color...and their arrangement in a specific space.

I observe and perceive what surrounds me with an attitude of curiosity and affection, I am interested in the cultural value that human beings realize, my admiration for Picasso, P. Klee, N. Gabo y A. Pevsner, A. Rodchenko, C. Brancusi, H. Moore, Richard Serra, J. Oteiza, E. Chillida, the Equipo 57 group or architects like Gropius, Le Corbusier, G. Rietveld, R. Moneo or Frank Gerhy, they have made me see art and forms from another point of view, a multifaceted point of view.

Things can be done and perceived in another way, the natural, formal and spatial conditions, I capture all of this in my work through a universal language, such as art and geometry.

In search of "reduction" the painter Paul Klee said in his writings and in his own words that the artist: "wants to say more than nature and makes the impossible mistake of wanting to say it with more instead of less."

The admiration I feel for the world and the nature that surrounds me is amazing, the shapes, the space, the air, the light, the color, all of this helps me to analyze it, study it and channel it in a natural way, feeling an extraordinary admiration. and reflecting it in my work, which I sometimes title: Birth, Opening, Geometric Network, Construction, Room of Light, Arc of Air, Alandaluz, Metting, White Sculpture, Earth-Sky, Composition, Deconstruction, Matrix Relief, Ascendant V.

When creating a work, I try to be free and not condition myself from the first moments. I am interested in issues in the work I create, such as knowing oneself and my environment through plastic and visual forms.

I let my feelings flow freely and what I capture I do in different techniques and materials, normally when it comes to working, I sense that my thoughts are done in a three-dimensional way, I imagine and see at first the ideas and the shapes as in a three-dimensional space.

Then I need different materials in some cases, very hard, soft or fluid that help me model, carve, draw, paint and photograph what I need to express, sometimes at random.

The artist, I think that most of the time, lives, feels and expresses his work countless times on the edge of the abyss, something that he had not planned or studied a priori, comes out and flows in a natural way and captures it in his work. .

What the artist creates is art, ART with capital letters that is related to life, freedom, feelings and nature, related to music and poetry, with that paradigm, that edge on the precipice, that some artists possess and sense forms, images, words, sounds, colors that manage to reduce them and bring them to physical form.
